COPY OF LETTER FROM THE LONDON METAL EXCHANGE TO CROWN AGENTS

Whittington Avenue,

London, E. C. 3

23rd November, 1934.

Gentlemen,

I have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of

the 20th instant (Ref. O/Misc.362/1) in reference to purchases

of Chinese Tin based on the Hong Kong Government's analysis.

Representations have been made to my Committee in the past

that such analyses have differed from those made by other

reputable assayers. Joint action of this Exchange and the

London Chamber of Commerce was taken in 1927 to bring the

matter to the notice of the Colonial Secretary's office.

I am, however, instituting enquiries on the subject

and will probably be communicating with you again.

I am, Gentlemen, etc.

(Signed) S.H. LAMBERT.

Secretary.
